What are my rights?
Rights are things people need to be safe, happy and healthy.
Rights belong to everyone, no matter who they are or where they live. Let’s look at some of your rights!
You have a right to be looked after and be healthy.
This includes having healthy food to eat and medicine if you are sick.
You have a right to safety and protection.
No one is allowed to hurt you or make you feel unsafe.
You have a right to get an education.
This means that you can have important information you need to make good decisions for you.
You have a right to have a say and be heard.
Everyone deserves to be treated fairly and with respect.
You have a right to be you.
This means that freedom to think and believe what you like are protected.
Your rights are protected in different ways.
